Ya dec\u00eda Jorge Luis Borges que, de todos los instrumentos del hombre, el m\u00e1s asombroso es, sin duda, el libro. Los dem\u00e1s son extensiones de su cuerpo. El microscopio, el telescopio, son extensiones de su vista; el tel\u00e9fono es extensi\u00f3n de la voz; luego tenemos el arado y la espada, extensiones del brazo. Pero el libro es otra cosa: el libro es una extensi\u00f3n de la memoria y la imaginaci\u00f3n. Y una vez m\u00e1s los libros nos demuestran el poder que tienen, por tanto, los que reverenciamos los libros y la gastronom\u00eda, los libros de cocina son un regalo para nuestros sentidos, y si adem\u00e1s encontramos un libro de cocina escrito por nuestro \u00eddolo, y que su m\u00fasica forma parte de nuestra vida es como haber subido al s\u00e9ptimo cielo.
